Binna Burra Gold Coast Hinterland

World-Heritage listed Lamington National Park is home to Australia’s largest remaining sub-tropical rainforest.

Whether you choose to relax by an open fire, curl up with a good book, or chat with locals, the best of the mountains is right outside the door at Binna Burra.

Since 1933, Binna Burra in the Gold Coast Hinterland is the location of the remarkable Binna Burra Mountain Lodge.

Initially Binna Burra and camping were synonymous, as the initial experience involved a Christmas camp. After more than 60 years, Binna Burra still provides wonderful campsites, the kiosk is a fully-functioning restaurant, kiosk, and conference centre complete with arguably the most amazing view in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Gold Coast AccommodationCast an eye over the local Binna Burra map and, apart from the chalet-style, environmentally sustainable accommodation, there is just so much to do and see in Binna Burra Queensland.

Bushwalking is obviously at the top of the activities list at Binna Burra as it sits atop the splendid McPherson Range. At about 800m above sea level, the tracks offer superb vistas. But then there is the chance to experience a forest that changes from dense rainforest into open forest and heathland areas. The tracks vary from easy to challenging hikes. You can even organize a personal guide.

Apart from the walks, there are other opportunities for thrill seekers. Consider going abseiling off sheer cliffs or gliding through the forest on a flying fox. Children can explore the Discovery Forest also. There is plenty for everyone including couples, families and friends.
