The Gold Coast gets its name from the wonderful 50km of sandy beaches from Tweed Heads to Sanctuary Cove, but you wonder if the warm sunny weather helped with the name. Found in a subtropical environment, the Gold Coast year round maximum temperatures sit between 20 -29 °C with minimums between 9 - 20 °C. The Gold Coast recieves rain on 121 days a year and gets around 1500mm of rain each year.
The Gold Coast does get a large ammount of rain - this keeps the countryside green and the dams full. But when its not raining, Gold Coast weather is perfect for holidays!
